How to Navigate Digits Ledger

The Ledger is your source of truth for all financial activity. Every accounting entry—manual, imported, or automated—flows through this tab.

  • The Source of Truth for Your Books Every line that touches the financials is logged here. No exceptions.
  • Dig Deeper When Something Doesn’t Add Up Quickly investigate anomalies, resolve client questions, and trace issues with full visibility into the data.
  • Power Tools at Your Fingertips Bulk edits, CSV imports, full exports for audit—this is where cleanup and control happen.

How to Access the Ledger

  1. Head to my.digits.com and log in.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, click Accounting, then select Ledger.

Navigating the Ledger

Use filters to quickly zero in on what you need:

  • Filter by Category using the panel on the left
  • Filter by Party or Amount by clicking the filter icon in the top right

Viewing by Category

The Category view organizes data by chart of account category. On the left sidebar, you’ll see a filtered hierarchy of accounts—only those with activity or a non-zero balance in the selected period are shown.

  • In the left navigation panel, categories are grouped by type and sorted numerically by account number. If no numbers are used, they’ll appear in alphabetical order.
  • In the main Ledger view, transactions are grouped by category and sorted by date within each category.
  • Filtering: Hover over any category to reveal a checkbox that lets you display only those transactions.
  • Scrolling: Click on any category name to jump directly to its section.
  • Counts: Each category shows its transaction count on the right. Parent accounts reflect totals for all nested sub-accounts.

Viewing by Party

The Party filter organizes transactions by vendor, customer, or other related party, helping you quickly analyze spend and activity across entities.

  • Filtering: Use the party filter to search or scroll through all parties. Hover over a name and check the box to display only their transactions.
  • No Party: Filter for transactions that are not associated with a party.
  • Visuals: Each party includes an icon or logo for quick identification.
  • Combine party filters with category or amount filters to refine your view even further.

Viewing by Amount

The Amount filter lets you quickly zero in on high-value or unusual transactions.

  • Use the slider to define a transaction range.
  • Instantly surface transactions above or below specific thresholds.
  • Combine with Category or Party filters to dig deeper into outliers or anomalies.

Reviewing Past Transactions

Use the date selector at the top of the Ledger to filter transactions by month, quarter, year, or a custom range.

Click the dropdown next to the current month (e.g., June 2025) to open the time period menu.
 From there, you can:

  • Choose a preset like Last 3 Months or Year to Date
  • Select any past month, quarter, or year
  • Set a Custom Range if you need a specific timeframe
