You can use vendor + amount patterns to quickly narrow down specific transactions. For example, try typing:

This helps pinpoint a transaction when you know who it involved and about how much it was.

From there, you can:

• Expand full search results for more context

• Jump into the Ledger to apply filters, review details, or take bulk actions

• Ask one clear question at a time. Short, focused prompts work best.

• Keep it simple. Questions like “What was Gusto payroll spend last month?” perform better than multi-part prompts.

• Ask follow ups. Use its response as a jumping board. Have a conversation to get more information or guide it in the right direction.

• Use it as a starting point. Treat Ask Digits like a helpful assistant—confirm important details in the Ledger or Financials, especially before sending anything to clients.

Not yet. Ask Digits can open flows to create transactions, invoices, reports, or uploads—but you still review and submit.

Does Ask Digits remember everything I’ve ever asked?

No. It keeps short-term context for your recent questions so simple follow-ups (like “What about last quarter?”) often work, but it does not store full long-term history today.

Can Ask Digits answer tax or legal questions?

No. Ask Digits is intentionally limited here and won’t provide tax, legal, or compliance advice. Please consult your advisor for those questions.

Is Ask Digits secure and accurate?

Absolutely! Ask Digits runs entirely inside Digits, using your real ledger data. You get accurate calculations, consistent answers, and enterprise-grade security for your financial data.

How is Ask Digits different from regular search?

Search helps you find specific records (like transactions or vendors). Ask Digits can do that, plus answer natural-language questions, show tasks, and start common workflows from the same bar.
