Connecting your client’s BILL account to Digits creates a secure, direct feed of payables and receivables. This integration enables Digits to automatically import, categorize, and book transactions into the Ledger—eliminating the need for manual entry and improving accuracy across your clients’ books.
How to Connect to BILL
To connect a client’s BILL account:
- Head to my.digits.com and login.
- Click Connections in the left-hand menu.
- In the All Connections tab, locate BILL.
- Click Connect.
- Log into your BILL account and approve the connection.
Using a BILL-powered solution through a bank?
If you access BILL through your bank or financial institution, you’ll need to use a Sync Token instead of your regular login.
Here’s how to generate a Sync Token:
- In BILL, go to Settings > Sync & Integrations > Tokens
- Click New
- Copy the Token Name and Token Password (⚠️ Write down or copy & paste this token before navigating away from this page, as it is only shared one time)
- Use these credentials to connect:
- Email = Token Name
- Password = Token
Once connected, Digits will begin syncing your data automatically.
What Happens After I connect?
Digits will:
- Import your full transaction history from BILL
- Automatically sync new bills, invoices, and payments
- Use ✨ Digits AI to categorize and tag transaction
- Keep everything updated with frequent syncs
Note: Import time may vary based on data volume and BILL account activity.
