Using Your Client's Home Dashboard

The Digits home dashboard is your centralized view of your client's financial health. Monitor key metrics like cash flow, revenue, runway, and burn across the reporting period—all in one customizable workspace. Whether you're closing books or preparing for a client check-in, it's all at your fingertips.

Customizing the Dashboard

Tailor the dashboard to match each client's needs. Highlight what matters most, hide what's not relevant, and organize the layout for maximum clarity.

  1. Head to my.digits.com and login. (You will land on the Home Dashboard when signing in, but you can also click Home from the left nav.)
  2. Click Edit in the top-right corner to enter edit mode.
  3. To add a component, just drag and drop any metric from the right Edit Dashboard area.
  • Metrics: Common KPIs like cash flow, runway, burn, and more.
  • Statements: Pull in your P&L, Balance Sheet, or Cash Flow Statement.
  • Lists: See Top Vendors, Expense Categories, and other key groupings.
  • Headcount: (Gusto users only): View total headcount for the selected time period.
  • Custom: Add custom text tiles or manual KPIs for info that isn’t tracked automatically.
  • Search: Look up specific vendors, accounts, categories, or metrics. Just type and drag.
  1. To remove any component, just click the X on the right side.
  2. Rearranging is easy—just drag tiles around until it looks right.
  3. Click Done when you're happy with your setup.

Selecting Key Metrics

In edit mode, use the right-side panel to explore and add:

  • Metrics Tab: Common KPIs like cash flow, burn, revenue, and runway.
  • Statements Tab: Embed live P&L, Balance Sheet, or Cash Flow reports.
  • Lists Tab: Top Vendors, Top Customers, and Expense Categories.
  • Headcount Tab (Gusto integrations only): Displays current team size.
  • Custom Tab: Drop in manual KPIs or text notes for additional context.
  • Search: Quickly locate accounts, vendors, or custom metrics.

Adjusting the Date Range

  1. On the Home tab, click the period selector in the top left.
  2. Select the reporting range: monthly, quarterly, yearly, or choose a custom span.
  3. Click Set. Your dashboard will update with the new timeframe.
