Integrating Stripe with Digits optimizes your financial processes by facilitating smooth data exchange and effective transaction management. This document will walk you through the key steps to establish and sustain this connection.
What is a Connection?
A connection is a secure link that bridges your financial accounts with the Digits platform. By connecting your revenue processor to Digits, you enable the platform to access transaction data directly from these accounts. This integration is crucial for efficient bookkeeping and accounting, as it allows Digits to automatically fetch and organize your revenue data. With a connection in place, you gain a comprehensive and up-to-date view of your financial activities, streamlining your financial management and ensuring accuracy in your accounting processes. The connection with Stripe integrates with your Digits ledger to import and automatically book all your revenue data from Stripe

What Happens When I Connect Stripe to Digits?
After connecting Stripe to Digits, the platform will begin importing the full history of your transactions. Once the connection is complete, data transfer will commence, and we will start analyzing your financial data. The time required for this process depends on the type and size of the data being transferred, so we cannot provide a specific time frame as to when this will be completed. Rest assured, you will receive a notification once the data transfer and analysis are completed, ensuring all your transactions are viewable and ready for effective management in Digits.
General Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter and provides solutions for resolving them, ensuring your connection between Stripe and Digits functions smoothly.
Why am I not seeing all invoices from Stripe in Digits?
If certain invoices are missing, it may be because the payments on those invoices were not processed through Stripe. In such cases, these invoices cannot be imported automatically and will need to be manually entered in your Transactions tab.
Why am I not seeing adjustments from Stripe in Digits?
Since transactions received via connections cannot be edited, Digits currently does not reflect adjustments made in Stripe. We recognize this limitation and are actively working on incorporating this feature in the future.
Why am I not seeing all transaction types from Stripe to Digits?
Not all balance transactions types are currently linked from Stripe to Digits. However, we are working on regular updates to improve this functionality. Here is the current list of balance transaction types currently supported:
- payout
- payout_failure
- charge
If a fee is not being imported, please manually add it through your Transactions tab.
